Beautifying the Fox Valley
The Marigold Mile, Inc. is a charitable organization working towards beautifying the Fox Cities with the planting of thousands of marigold flowers along its streets, while providing community service opportunities to volunteers.
For over 35 years, The Marigold Mile has been planting marigolds on South Oneida Street in Appleton. Recently the organization expanded to include planting downtown Menasha on Racine and Main Street. Both projects are 100% funded and planted by their communities.
Community response to the marigolds:

“This is one of my favorite things about Appleton!”
“I am excited to see the flowers. I always make a point to take drive down Oneida Street to see them.”
“Driving by makes me smile.”
“This makes my day every time I see it. Thanks for all the hard work.”
“Thank you so much for your hard work, everyone who visits marvels at how lovely it is.”
“I love walking past the flowers every day on my way to work at the hospital.”
